Overview

We need someone to secure new customers that fit with our target client categories. These include:

  • high tech
  • coffee shops and roasters
  • casinos
  • breweries
  • pubs
  • food trucks
  • app developers
  • clothing lines
  • bands
  • local corporations
  • crossfit gyms
  • gaming companies
  • gaming apparel
  • nerd apparel
  • art galleries
  • artist prints

We are open to suggestion on any other viable niche’s that may fit our style.

Our website serves as a good resource and we can also generate any marketing materials needed to get the job done right. We are also open to doing speculative samples for promising clients.

Compensation

Currently, we can only offer a commission-only sales position. As the company grows stronger, we can consider salary-plus and/or draws.

The commission plan represents income from sales generated by new clients developed by the salesperson that developed them. It provides a percentage of gross profit (defined by gross sale minus direct labor and materials cost) on an increasing percentage as sales develop and grow. New clients developed by the salesperson will be subject to these commissions throughout the period of employment by the sales agent (the client becomes a house account upon cessation of employment). Clients in the database of FPI are recognized as House Accounts, as are new clients that come into FPI through the marketing channels established by FPI and managed by account managers at FPI, whom are not subject to a sales commission arrangement. FPI should forward to the sales manager prospects that could benefit from sales development by outside sales personnel, and these referrals that are converted into clients are subject to this commission agreement and will be considered as having been developed by the salesperson for his/her benefit.

Commission schedule:

New clients sales: Percent of gross profit: Estimated commission:
Gross sales up to $333,333 24% $40,000
Gross sales up to $500,000 26% retroactive $65,000
Gross sales over $500,000 28% retroactive $105,000 (based upon $750k)

Once the sales total have eclipsed the various thresholds, the rate of commission will be applied retroactively to all sales made by the salesperson.

Requirements

Ability to work as a team player and bring in the type of business that fits with our model.

We need to be able to collaborate and manage leads, progress and followup on some agreed upon tracking software.

Experience and understanding of our industry and of blank garments would be very helpful, but not necessary. We can teach you about the processes if needed, but you’ll be up and running after if you already know what you’re selling . . .

Good communication skills. We need to manage production capacity growth carefully. We can accommodate a big bump in sales but we’ll need to add labor and management to do so. Communication will be important to make sure we don’t over-promise and also that we don’t hinder the salesperson growth.

What We Want.

  • Decent volume jobs (144+ pieces), Medium volume jobs (500+ pieces) and a few higher volume jobs (3k-10k pieces) from clients that will reorder and understand the value in paying a reasonable price for a premium product.
  • Clients from the categories on our target list or others that may be good fits to the way we do business.
  • We want cool, nice, reasonable, friendly clients with decent budgets and an appreciation for quality of service AND product.
  • Foil printing!

What We Don’t Want.

  • Contract work (aka jobs where the client is supplying the garment and paying print only prices). Lower profit, more work.
  • Sports team jerseys, custom numbering.
  • Penny pinchers that don’t care about quality.
  • Jerks that don’t pay their bills.
  • The next greatest clothing line starting with a 36 piece order.
  • 100% polyester performance fabrics.
  • Some specialty inks like: glitter and high density. we need to look at special requests on a case by case basis.
  • A lot of heavy plastisol printing. We want to do opaque water base instead.
